Barriers to access and use of ICTs at an early age, masculinization of the ICT sectors, bias and stereotypes linked to the future employment of women. The absence of digital competence makes it very difficult to develop many jobs and also to access the search and application processes, both for older profiles, low qualifications or long-term unemployment. Environmental impact and sustainability<\/span><\/h5>\n

We are talking about controlling the times of use, turning off devices during times of inactivity, choosing electronic devices that are more energy efficient or manufactured by socially and environmentally responsible companies, following the correct recycling guidelines when we dispose of devices and\/or batteries, analyzing our consumption habits and not fall into the traps imposed by planned obsolescence and the aggressive marketing of companies that encourage us to renew our devices every year or even less. <\/span>But also the transformative potential of digital technologies to protect and improve the environment, helping to consume fewer natural resources, for example, facilitating more responsible lifestyles or protecting biodiversity. <\/span>How do we do it so that the development of technology and digital environments pursues environmental sustainability and commitment to future generations? Can digital technologies help us live and consume in a way that respects the sustainability of both societies and the environment?<\/span><\/p>\n

Elderly people and health protection<\/span><\/h5>\n

The elderly are one of the groups most affected by the digital divide and therefore the most excluded in a society in which access to public and private services, leisure, education and so many other things use digital procedures and systems. To the difficulties that are often added to the aging process, there is a world that not only they do not understand but in which they often cannot interact enjoying the benefits that digital brings since they feel insecurity and fear. We discussed the need to accompany older people in the transition by allowing and how to ensure that they enjoy the opportunities of the digital environment and the benefits of the welfare society.

Access gaps: ruralities<\/span><\/h5>\n
